Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This policy explains what data BTR ("we", "us", "our") collects through btrcodes.com (the "Site"), why, and what rights you have over it. We built this Site to do as little data collection as the service allows - if something isn't listed here, we don't do it.
1. Who we are
BTR is operated by Michał Stępień, providing AI automation services for businesses serving international clients in Cyprus.
Contact for anything privacy-related: hello@btrcodes.com
2. What we collect, and why
a) Contact form
If you submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. This is sent by email to us via our hosting provider's mail server and is used solely to respond to your enquiry.
Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.
b) WhatsApp button
Clicking the WhatsApp button opens a chat with us through WhatsApp, with a pre-filled message. Any conversation that follows happens on WhatsApp (operated by Meta) and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not this one - we only see the messages you choose to send us there.
c) Interactive demo widget
The widget on our homepage is a demonstration of how our AI agents work. Any answers you type into it (location, budget, timeline, etc.) are processed only in your browser to render the demo summary - we do not receive, transmit, or store this content on our servers.
If you choose to leave contact details (phone or email) in the widget's final step, that text is likewise only shown in your browser and is not sent to or retained by us. The only thing we record on our server is a single yes/no flag indicating that a contact step was completed, with no content - see (d) below.
If you want us to actually follow up on a demo conversation, use the contact form or WhatsApp button instead - the widget itself does not create a lead on our end.
d) Aggregate usage statistics
To understand whether the demo widget is useful, our server logs, per interaction: a timestamp, which flow was used (buy/sell/rent), whether a contact step was completed (yes/no), and the site language. This log never contains names, contact details, IP addresses, or anything else that identifies you - it exists to produce counts, not to profile visitors.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding basic product usage.
3. Cookies and tracking
This Site does not currently use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising pixels of any kind. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated first and, where required by law, we will ask for your consent before any such tracking begins.
4. Who we share data with
- Our email/hosting provider, solely to deliver contact-form messages to us.
- WhatsApp/Meta, only for conversations you choose to start via the WhatsApp button.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Where your data is processed
Our hosting is based in Poland (EU). If you are contacting us from outside the EU/EEA, submitting the contact form or messaging via WhatsApp means your message is processed in the EU (for the form) or by Meta's infrastructure (for WhatsApp), respectively.
6. How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages: kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, then deleted.
- Aggregate usage log: capped in size and contains no personal data, so it is not subject to a personal-data retention period; it is periodically trimmed as part of routine maintenance.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA (or another jurisdiction with equivalent protections), you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict that use
- Request a copy in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these, email hello@btrcodes.com - we'll respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children
This Site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever this policy changes, and post the new version here. If we ever start collecting meaningfully different data (e.g. cookies, analytics), we'll flag that change clearly rather than updating silently.
